A Poor Girl Fix: Nails, Nails, Nails

Here's another article from Almost There!
____________________________________________________________________________

Technically I'm not poor. I'm "budget-conscious." Running a business from home can ware on the ole cash flow occasionally so when I get a comfortable amount of money to spend, my first thoughts don't go to my nails. But I couldn't deny that my talons had gotten a little out of hand and something had to be done.

So where did I go to meet my French manicure needs?

Rite Aid.

Trendy, right? Rite! (See what I did there?)

Somewhere on that there Pinterest I saw a cheap trick to help get that French manicure look without pumping out the dough.

Here's what you need & what I purchased:

  • Reinforcement Labels  (those annoying little circles you put around the holes in your paper so your binder can hold it)
  • Wet N Wild's Wild Shine nail polish (on sale at Rite Aid for less than a dollar at the moment)
  • Patience (I would have bought it but they were all out)

What you do next is pretty simple but here's what I did to get my nails tipped in silver (because I wanted to be different, duh) and looking simple yet classy.

1.) Get some sweet tea or wine.
2.) Make sure your cat or dog is in another room because they sure want to be all on you RIGHT when your nails are wet.
3.) Clean your nails and strip them of any polish.
4.) Take your clear polish (or clear with SPARKLES) and paint each nail once. Wait until they dry then give them all another coat.
5.) Take the reinforcement circles and put them under the top part of your nail that you want tipped white. My nails aren't that long right now so my tips are bitty!
6.) Take your white polish (or any color you want) and carefully paint the tips of your nails. Don't worry about getting it on the rest of your nail! The reinforcement circle is a nifty little guard! Let it dry and do another coat!
7.) Take off the circles and BAM! A poor girl's fix to a sketchy French manicure!

So there it is! If you have a job where you look at your nails a lot or OTHERS look at your nails a lot, don't be ashamed if you can't justify a mani/pedi in your budget. Instead go to the school supply section of Rite Aid, Walgreens, CVS or Wally World and start the fabulous process of a poor girl's fix for your nails!

Mantel Love: Your Living Room's Thesis Statement

Social Spaz is all over the place lately! Expanding, new hires, more business and lots of social media! Right now we'd like to take a second to give you a taste of a new project called "Almost There!" If you're a fan of HGTV and a fellow DIYer, this new blog is just for you!

So here's a sneak peek of one of Almost There's blog posts!
__________________________________________________________________________________
Do you have a mantel that makes you ashamed? Does it have so much potential that you know you've missed? Are there random knick knacks that you just threw up there because--let's be honest--there isn't anywhere else to put the bronze skull statue your significant other bought at a garage sale or that Beanie Baby that lost its tag when you were 12?

To me, the mantel is like your living room's thesis statement--this is who I am, this is what I love.

There are so many statements you can make that it's easy to get gun shy. You dig the fam jam, are totally utilitarian, have a wicked color addiction or dance to the own beat of your drum. Which will it be? And once you have a theme, will you be able to pull it off?

Well I may not have a fireplace/mantle but I have a lot of ideas of what I want to do with one when I have it. Here's a compilation of ideas and pictures taken (and linked back to) other blogs and Pinteresters plus a few ideas of my own!

Honey & Fitz (a blog definitely worth a follow) posted an article that inspired my love of the mantel I don't-yet-have. In this post they had a picture that showed the flow of a nicely decorated mantel for those needing a creative boost.
Normally I try to come up with my own decorating rules (because my momma raised me stubborn) but what Honey & Fitz did (and Steven and Chris before them) really pleases me. Visually it's pleasant and has a lot of potential.

So here are five easy ways to make a visual triangle out of your lovely mantel décor plus some great Pinterest finds to make my imaginary mantel aesthetically-pleasing.

1.) Center a large piece on your mantel.
You can go either art or mirror. I love the look that a unique mirror can bring to a room but for a mantel I would have to go with art. So, in my quest to decorate MY future mantel, I picked Artist Yuka Nareta's Focus. This watercolor appreciates my love for whites space, color and inspirational quotes.

2.) Add something with movement to the left. You want your eye to visually flow from one direction to the other.
This is where I go in search of fun knick knacks that are a part of a collection and of varying sizes. How about those trendy owls? You just can't go wrong with owls--no matter their color, size or medium. Place the shortest one on the outside and line them up to the tallest.

3.) Add something with visual weight on the right. This will counterbalance the movement element on the left.
This is where that great vase you have tucked away in a cabinet or lonely on top of the refrigerator comes into play. Bold, beautiful color or wacky design would definitely make a statement. I personally want a vase that, even if there aren't beautiful flowers in it, can still make a statement. So I mustache you, why not a vase with facial hair?
4.) Layer in a couple of additional frames pieces in a cluster.
This is when I would bring out the funky colored frames of different sizes and designs and fill them with silly pictures of loved ones.

5.) Balance that on the opposite side with a couple of accessories in a cluster of varying heights.
Books, books, books! If you're a book lover then you have plenty of them around. Do you have a few special editions that are just adorable? Use them! Take a few books and stack them up to the right of your mantel. Get a few more little knick knacks that don't necessarily come from the same collection and place them on top of those lovely books!

These are the five steps to make a great-looking mantel. To tell your guests that YOU ARE AWESOME and so is your house! If you're like me and don't have a fire place or a mantel yet, don't fret! You can still design one and dream!

Remember, we may not have our dream house yet, but we're almost there!

July 13: Resolutions Update

By: The Owner and Operator of Social Spaz

Here's an update, two days after I started.
For the first part, go here.

Finish First Draft
Can you say heck yes? If you follow my personal Twitter, you've already read that I conquered a big bump of writer's block by listening to The Wombats new album on Spotify. I never listened to them before but something about their sound worked my writing kinks out and I wrote two chapters worth. Now I'm closer to finishing my first draft!

Maintain My Budget

Woops. Is that a picture of my favorite saying on my Nook in a brand new book? Nook book! It is. Not exactly keeping with my budget and it's only been two days. I need to learn self control when it comes to new books.

Exercise, Exercise, Exercise
I'm excited to say I finally found an exercise routine that I really enjoy and really seems to work. If you told my middle school self that I'd be jump roping in my living room in my 20s, I would have laughed. However, that's what I do. During commercials of two hour long shows I break out the jump rope and go at it. I'm not going to lie, my legs are sore and I was out of breath really fast, but after doing it yesterday and then today I was able to keep going for three minutes straight doing double jumps. Not impressed? Go buy a $5 rope and give it a try. It works your entire body!

Become More Personal
I am doing okay with this goal so far. I've been tweeting and this counts as a personal blog, right? Not to mention I've been uploading pictures to Instagram. Find me @socialspaz.

Take More Pictures
Mickey (my Canon) is thrilled to be going back home for a few days so we can take pictures of my little goddaughter. She's a natural model and always fun, so Mickey will be getting some camera time after all!

And there there it is folks! A quick update on my personal goals! Check back for more soon! #exclamationmarks #hashtags

July 11 - August 11 Resolutions

By: The Owner and Operator of Social Spaz

Here on the blog, I try to keep Social Spaz separate from my personal life. However, by doing that, I tend to just stop blogging when life and business get too busy. That's something I just don't like to do. So, after reading a wonderful blogger's posts (Kelli Taylor of Blimey Cow) I decided to do monthly resolutions and report cards. (Check out She Learns as She Goes for Kelli's blog.)

This way, if there isn't a post up about something social media or networking, then there will be a post about the staff. Either way, there will be no more dry spells! So here's my resolutions for July 11 through August 11 (I procrastinated so I'm starting a little later in the month!)

Finish First Draft
For those of you who don't personally know me, my biggest dream is to become a best-selling author.  I read and write habitually. About four months ago I started writing a story idea that surprised me by blossoming into something I wanted to turn into a novel. Now, I want to have the first draft finished so I can start the revision. Writing this is also another reason for my lack of recent posts.

Maintain My Budget
Dab naggit, I can't seem to stay within the parameters of my monthly budget! What do I splurge on each and every month? Books, books, books. I have my credit card linked with my Nook's Barnes & Noble accounts so when I'm done reading book, I can easily buy the next one with just a click of a button. I'm not saying I'm inching close to being homeless or sleeping in the dark, but I would like to exercise a little more self control when it comes to my money.

Exercise, Exercise, Exercise
I have big hips and I cannot lie, but love handles I will dare to defy. I used to be an avid runner but since working from a home office, I've fallen out of my exercising routine. I even bought Zumba for the Wii to help get me off of my very comfy office chair and shake some calories away!

Become More Personal
You might think that I'm way on top of my personal social media since I do all of those kinds of things as a job. However, after spending almost every waking hour doing something with social networking, I have become less enthused about the sites that I personally wanted to join. So this month I hope to: blog, Instagram, tweet, update and actively participate in other sites.

Take More Pictures
My Canon (named Mickey) always looks so lonesome when I walk into the office. I remember when I got him as a present and how excited I was to finally have a great camera. So why is he sitting in the camera bag silently crying giant camera tears? I DON'T KNOW! But it's time I liberate him from his zippered prison.

Those are my main resolutions for July 11 through August 11! After that I will have a report card of how I did! Until then check back daily for new posts!

Thanks!

10 Tweets That Summarize the Book Angels and Demons

By: InternetService.Net
The prequel that introduces Robert Langdon, the protagonist of Dan Brown’s runaway bestseller The Da Vinci Code, entitled Angels and Demons, shares the same themes of religion and conspiracy as its popular successor. The novels have spawned hit films starring Tom Hanks and spurred much debate among readers about the true nature of secret societies. And if we had to sum up the book Angels and Demons on Twitter, we imagine it’d go a little like this:
  1. “@MaximilianKohler has invited me to #Switzerland to consult on @LeonardoVetra’s murder.” – When Maximilian Kohler, director of Switzerland’s CERN discovers the corpse of leading physicist Leonardo Vetra, he decides to contact symbologist and Illuminati expert Robert Langdon due to the “Illuminati” ambigram on Vetra’s chest.
  2. “The #ambigram on @LeonardoVetra’s chest is authentic. His latest discovery has also been stolen.” – They quickly determine that the once-dead Illuminati society has reformed and is potentially responsible for the theft of the antimatter that Leonardo Vetra was studying. Because the antimatter is highly destructive, the race to recover it and solve the murder begins.

10 Reasons to Give Up on a Penguin Hit Site

By: Longhorn Leads

Has your website dropped off the edge of the Google earth? Did your search ranking sink to the bottom of the Google ocean? Millions of website managers have been hit by the new Google Penguin WebSpam update and are struggling to recover. They have found that the numbers of hits to their sites dropped drastically since the Penguin was released to raise havoc on the internet. Although it was designed to target web spammers, the Penguin doesn’t seem to discriminate who it pecks. Legitimate sites are hit while obviously illegitimate ones are left untouched. If your website has fallen victim, here are ten reasons to give up.
  1. Paid text links – If your website has used exact matching anchor text to improve your search ranking, the Penguin will hit you. These paid text links are considered a no-no, so you can give up on that tactic.
  2. Comment spam – People who visit your site can put spam targeted text in your comments that will attract the evil Penguin. You have little control over this and will never know when you’re going to get pecked again.

I'm CEO, B*tch

Mark Zuckerberg, you funny little man you. But would we even care about you had Jonathan Abrams known what you were up to?

Jonathan Abrams was the founder of Friendster (and also then CEO), the happening social media site around then minus the rising Myspace.com. In the first ever article written about Facebook.com by the Harvard Crimson on Feb. 9, 2004, Zuckerberg had said he used Friendster as a model.

Just as with the popular website Friendster, which Zuckerberg said was a model for his new website, members can search for people according to their interests and can create an online network of friends.

An interesting tidbit if you do ask me. If only Jonathan Abrams of Friendster had heard about Zuckerberg's thefacebook.com, maybe he would have changed the Face of social media.

You had me at Crime Fighting Network

For those of you who don't personally know me, I want to tell you very quickly about my fast-paced romance with the show Castle. A few weeks ago I was bored and wanted to get into a new show. I had heard about Castle but thought better of watching it. Until, one fateful night, I broke down and watched the first episode.
Honey(s), I watched all four seasons within two weeks.

Since then I have been utterly obsessed with crime. Not in the ways of committing them, but in the ways of attempting to solve them. Now, I haven't taken my skills (the term used loosely of course) to the streets but I did manage to figure out the who done it in a few mysteries I recently finished.

So, when I read about Morgan Wright wanting to use social media to solve crimes, you better believe I wanted to know more.

Here's looking at you, Facebook.

Of all the profiles, on all the Pages, in all the world, Casablanca will be on Facebook. Wednesday (May 16) at 7 p.m. PST/ET Casablanca's Page will have one of the arguably best movies of all time avaible for streaming. This is a one time deal (one screening per FB account) and, if I do say so myself (and again, I do) a pretty nifty way to follow the release of their recent launch of Casablanca’s 70th Anniversary three-disc Blu-ray and DVD combo edition from Warner Home Video.

Was that cannon fire, or is it my heart pounding? Oh, no. It was just another company doing social media right.

10 Examples of Stars Leveraging Their Fame on Twitter

By: InternetService.net
As a tool for building a large following in a short time, Twitter is hard to beat. That’s why so many celebrities are using their profiles to such great effect. It provides a venue for communicating with their fan base, and building their brand. The following are ten examples of stars leveraging their fame on Twitter:

  1. Wil Wheaton @Wilw – Known to trekkies as Wesley Crusher on Star Trek: TNG, Wheaton has reinvented himself as an online personality as well. Regularly interacting with his followers, as well as following back, he has generated a following in large part because of his techie persona as well as his on-screen celebrity.
  2. Stephen Fry @stephenfry – British actor and comedian, Fry is another example of engaging celebrity who follows and tweets quite often. His tweets are genuine, funny, informative and a lot more frequent than you might expect from a busy star.

Guest Blog: The breaking down the 61

By: Steven Caldwell

Social Spaz note: Last December I revisited thesixtyone.com in THIS article. Since then I've asked Steven, a Social Spaz intern, to find an old site that was reviewed and break it down in his own words. The following article is his way of showing us that he knows what he's talking about!

While researching the social media sites that Social Spaz reviewed I was instantly enthralled by thesixtyone.com, it appeals to the eclectic, Indie music lover within.

Guest Blog: Confessions from a Twitter-hater convert

By: Holli Keaton
When Twitter first came out, I had no idea what it was. I would hear people talk about “tweeting” and thought they were crazy people who played some strange bird-related game together.

Eventually, I found out what Twitter really was, and my first reaction was, “Well, that seems stupid.” That remained my response for years.

On the other hand, when Facebook first came out my freshman year of college, I was quick to jump on board and immediately grew to love it. I could keep in touch with old friends from high school and shamelessly stalk the photos of those with whom I wasn’t so chummy. With Facebook, I was connected.

And through the years, my enjoyment of Facebook has only grown. Sure, it changes its template or other features all the time, but I’ve never wavered. What started as a way to keep in touch with old friends turned into a way to connect with people I see everyday to what it is today: an absolute necessity to anyone who wants to be a communicator.

While I was living in Facebook la-la land, I guess Twitter was growing right along with it. But principally, I vowed to stay away forever. Everything I could do on Twitter, I could do on Facebook in a much more interesting way. The Twitterverse had other plans.

While working for a newspaper, my boss approached me one day and told me I had to get a Twitter account. After some protesting, I saw that nothing would change her mind. So, I asked someone else to set it up for me, and I cleverly would post something about a random news story every so often.

Looking back, I was the most boring Twitter-user in the world.

Eventually, I left my job at the newspaper, leaving with it, my Twitter account. But a few months later, I came crawling back with my own account @hollikeaton (follow me and I’ll follow you. Come on, it’ll be fun). The truth was, even though I hadn’t quite gotten the hang of the Twitter lingo—shorter sentences and hashtags—I was now intrigued.

Here’s why:

-Unlike my biased beliefs, the majority of people did not use Twitter to simply post updates about every move they make. Legitimate news sources and businesses posted information I wanted to know, and I only had to look one place to find it.

-Looking at updates on Twitter was much easier than Facebook. My iPad, in fact, marks the spot I leave off reading tweets, so I can easily stay away from Twitter for days and catch up within five minutes. #thatsboss

-It’s socially unacceptable to update your Facebook page every hour. Tweeting is just fine. (If you are live-tweeting an event you can even post every five minutes).

-Sometimes you accept Facebook friend requests from people you aren’t super interested in. On Twitter, you choose who you follow and no one sends you constant reminders that you aren’t one of their followers.

-Twitter is simple. You post updates. You interact with others who update. And you put up the occasional picture. That’s all you have to learn to do with Twitter. #digit?

-Because many people get tweets sent right to their phone, Twitter is one of the most effective ways to mass communicate to a lot of people at one time. If you are a business not using Twitter, then you are failing to utilize a very effective advertising tool.

-Last but not least, Twitter lingo is more fun than Facebook #amiright? The way I talk in real life includes side bar points. Twitter accounts for that with its hashtags (aka #signs). #thanksTwitter

So here I am, a once Twitter hater now advocating the site for the entire world. If you are where I used to be, maybe it’s time you think about coming around. If you are a business owner who is where I used to be, you need to put aside those notions immediately. #itstime #youarelosingbusiness

Ridiculously Photogenic Guy

I'm sure having his picture go viral wasn't something 25-year-old Zeddie Little of New York had in mind when he signed up for the 10k race in Charleston, SC. But, by golly, that's what happened. I don't know how many of you have run a race where there was a camera involved, but usually when you're in it to win it you aren't thinking about the photographers snapping away at the sidelines.

However, Little was primed and ready. This picture became an internet sensation and has been viewed by around 1.4 million people in the past few days. Oh Internet.

So, having done some research on our Ridiculously Photogenic Guy this is what I've come up with:

  • Home boy is not single. He's been dating his girl for five years and has recently moved to New York with her. She's unsure of what to do with all of his "fame."
  • He's trying to break into the PR business. If the memes are correct, he'll get promotions just by  saying hello.
  • His father's name is Jack Little. (He has very little, jack little.)
  • He met his chick at a pizzeria in his hometown of Charleston.
  • Will King, a South Carolina systems analyst, found this picture of Zeddie while looking through his photos of last weekend's Cooper River Bridge 10k and uploaded it because of how different Zeddie looked from the others. Burn? Is it that he's smiling and everyone else is out of breath because they're running a 10k or everyone else is less fortunate in the good-looking category?
  • King's friend saw the picture and said, "I dub this man 'Ridiculously Photogenic Guy.'"
  • This picture received over 1.45 million hits on Reddit.com
  • Little doesn't want all of the attention and is trying to "lay low." (Good luck.)
  • A quote from King: "People have been calling me offering me money for the picture so they can use it in advertisements. I'm not selling it because I'd have to have Little's permission. It's his face." It certainly is his face.
  • Little's father said that he is very excited for Zeddie.
  • "Yeah, I mean he's always been very quiet and very conscientious and never wanted any attention, and I think he's very much deserving of it." He also said that his son is smart and ambitios while also interested in food and someone who is in tune with what's happening in New York. An odd description at the end, but hopefully girlfriend of five years is working on that.
That's it for the internet stalkage of Ridiculously Photogenic Guy. Is it bad that I have seen more people posting his meme than Kony 2012? I shouldn't be surprised, this is a society that revels in the fact that a zombie apocalypse might be nearing and has a slew of #firstworldproblems.

Here are some of my favorite memes of Zeddie Little!

Tumblr! Activate!

What most people don't realize is that Social Spaz was started on Tumblr. Orginally it was a month long challenge to review a different social networking site each day. I was surprised at all of the great feedback and then Social Spaz started evolving into the business and personality. So, I got a different Tumblr but sadly I sidetracked to this blog and left my poor ole Tumblr to sit untouched.

Well now I want to bring it back into my life. Tumblr got me through an entire summer internship a few years ago and I want to go back to that comfort level...posting, reposting, following angsty tweens and teens who have problems with the world and an unlimited supply of gifs.

So, check out the Tumblr.

Facebook Pages: 5 Reasons to be Annoyed at Timeline

I love Facebook. I'm Facebook obsessed. So, it's rare to get a FB rant out of me, but I'm here to tell you that I am not down with the new Timeline format for Pages.

Let me take a quick moment to say that I am completely fine with Timeline for personal Facebooks. It's more organized, more graphic, a lot more interactive but not mind-blowingly different from the last one. All they really did was put our profiles in boxes and threw a timeline on the side. I don't mind this change at all because, the truth of the matter is, Facebook always changes and I always forget what exactly it looked like beforehand. Don't lie, you do too.

So when it was announced that Timeline was going to become available for Pages I was stoked! The new cover photo feature was an exciting feature I was ready to utilize. Not to mention, with the boxes of Timeline, you get to see more of the Page's content without having to scroll down and search.

HOWEVER! I was deceived.

Five reasons why Facebook, in my opinion, defiled Timeline for Pages:

1. Why, oh, why did you stack everything on the top of the Page?
Notifications, New Likes, Messages (this feature I happen to like a lot, just not where it's placed), Insights and Page Tips are the first thing that loads when you click on a Page you admin. This.is.annoying. I know there isn't ample amount of room to store these sections, but I just feel like FB could find better places for them. Why not do the whole sidebar bit? Maybe store it under the new Manage tab at the top? Sure, that tab annoys me, but I'd rather get the drop down than everything jumbled at the top.
Maybe I wouldn't have as much as an issue with the placement if...

2. Business Pages tend to load SO SLOWLY now. When I go to a Page (and mind you, I run about a dozen) the cover photo loads on top for an instant and then, realizing it has to go to the bottom of the Page to make room for Notifications, New Likes, etc., it moves down. The white space then slowly fills with all the info. that has to go at the top of the Page now.
Also, sometimes I'm impatient and like to scroll down to see my Page's wall. So when it is loading I'm already scrolling. But, again, the whole Page loads so slowly. I have to wait for the top to load and then my wall, and then the rest of the top section.

3. TABS--where did you go my lovies? You used to be under the profile picture, all neat and organized and pretty. Then, Timeline came along and I thought they would do something special for you. But, alas, you were attached to the bar that held the About, Photos and Likes. Only three boxes can be shown on this bar. You have to hit the down arrow to see more options. This really messed up businesses that utilize multiple tab sections that they want to be visible at all times. Because, honestly, most people aren't going to really look around your Page to search for a drop down menu of your once-loved tabs.

4. I manage about a dozen different Pages, daily. When I'm on my news feed I click on the Page I want to sign in as and, with the old version of Pages, I would go to the right sidebar to be that Page. It was a simple, simple process. Now, I have to wait for my Page to load and click the Manage drop down and then click the Use Facebook as So and So. I know this a knit-picky thing to complain about, but it's one more step that I didn't have before and it almost feels like it slows down my flow from Page to Page.

5. Let me revisit the slow issue. When I scroll down on a Page to see earlier posts, it takes a good while for them to load. I have faster response time on my personal Page and it just irks me. I only put up with it because it's MY Page, so what about those people who are just browsing? Will they get annoyed and just leave? Am I losing some potential viewers because of slow Page response time?

These are the reasons why I am disappointed in Timeline for Pages so far. Knowing Facebook, they'll make more changes to, hopefully, make it better. Until then, know when you go to a Facebook Page that I cringe with you.
If you have different reasons, be sure to comment!

To start off, for those who know me personally, this is a legitimate internship position that I'm offering. Social Spaz is broken up into two branches--the business side and the internet personality. Both are very important to what Social Spaz has become and what it will continue to be.

Business side includes:
Working with several small businesses on a daily basis
Creating and maintaining several (countless) social media accounts
Constantly researching
Blogging for customers
Creating, overseeing and participating in event promos
Website design, editing and maintenance
The occasional mini-photoshoot (see Carpet Annie)
Plus the crop up of human networking (yes, in the outside world without a computer)

Internet Personality (The Spaz) includes:
Maning a ba-koodle of social media sites daily
Diving into several new sites
Again, lots of researching
Blogging
Website design, editing and maintenance
Troubleshooting
Networking with people all over the world (not even joking)

Now, there are more to both sides and even though The Spaz portion may not seem important it is. Social Spaz is in the middle of an expansion. That's why having an extra pair of hands and eyes is so important. The expansion, at the moment, is a secret--only few know what the future is going to bring to S.S.

However, for both sides to function without a hitch an intern is being sought out. I would like to have two to three people so we can make a team but it depends on the amount of applicants.

Here's some info:

Unpaid Internship (can live anywhere as long as you have a computer & internet)
What you will be expected to do

  • Research new trends in social media and marketing
  • Occasionally focus all energy on one client's social media (including Social Spaz)
  • Create personalized social networking strategies
  • Work with a team of people, including the owner, in brainstorming sessions
  • The occasional blog (all credit will be given to the writer)
  • Network with people all over the world (your email will become your best friend)
  • Update/edit the website (You will be taught Wordpress if you don't know how)
  • Frequent popular social media sites and be crazy social
  • Help with the expansion of Social Spaz
  • Be awesome
Now, since this is an unpaid internship, there are still benefits to being an Social Spaz intern.
  • You will be given credit for everything you do
  • If you don't royally screw up or BETRAY Social Spaz, you will be given a wonderful letter of recommendation and be able to put down Social Spaz as a work reference
  • You will be able to put your marketing and networking skills to good use in the real world
  • You will make contacts with important people who will value your work
  • If you are unfamiliar with the technical aspects of the websites, Social Spaz will teach you the ropes so you will be able to add to your skill sets
  • When Social Spaz hires in the next year, you will be one of the first up for consideration
Hours vary and you will only be asked to work from Monday-Thursday. Social Spaz understands you aren't being paid so we are very flexible with the schedule.

If interested, email thesocialspaz@gmail.com with your resume and a short explanation of why you would like to be the new Social Spaz intern!
Thanks!
